FAILURE
We reside in an era where failure is accepted as a way of modernism but
often judged through the eyes of those who envy growth, as a person becomes a
better version of themselves. The fact that to unearth major life lessons, we must
fail is earthshaking, but it is subsequently essential to learn the lessons
that come with it. Because if you don’t get acquainted with your own mistakes,
how are you planning to meet the expectations people put on you? And what kind
of wisdom do you crave to acquire in this interconnected yet beguiling world?
The goal should never be to wait to fail or to make a mistake to acquire great
learning. With every footstep you take, there is someone around you who is
making a mistake, and you can learn from it too. There is learning in every
step or action you take, and there is failure in every place you look. Every
individual is a conman in this era rather than themselves so with great
observation, as you look deeper, you will see better. Failure, as we see it,
observe it, or face it, teaches us more with time. It is known that you will
fail at every stage, but what matters most is what kind of mistakes you are
making—are you repeating them or making better ones?
There are 8 billion people who are currently walking on this earth; some of
them are living the best of their lives, and some aren’t. Every second there is
a new inception, and consequently, every second a journey comes to a halt.
Every day, the clock we carry on our wrists, walls, or mobiles ticks, and with
every tick, someone makes a mistake or fails at a task. Billions of people make
trillions of mistakes and fail every day, yet some find courage to wake up the
next day and some don’t. It is crestfallen to think that we live in a
developing yet interconnected world where people are also capable of making
someone feel dejected about their failures. We are a part of a world or society
where there is no reward for the defeat or the hardship one went through. The
sweetest victory comes from the crossing of the thorniest path, the path that
required you to wound yourself to fight for everything you have got, to be
willing to leave everything that there is outside without knowing that in the
end all that you did was worth heroic.
Every individual is concatenated with the system where overachievers are rewarded with all praise and congratulations, and defeat or process is never encouraged until and unless it becomes a social media trend to talk about certain things. You will find that the great minds or thinkers give speeches have faced great failures in life, but the obstinate approach they keep in their lives has turned them into characters larger than life. I always believed that as we learn and grow, the chances of failing increase, but that does not stop us from trying. However, I often think that how and when this notion of becoming successful is realized that it is far greater than those trials that failed and built you. And isn’t it the stories that make our minds inquisitive and awaken our thoughts that are greater?
Life is a roller-coaster ride, and many of the habits that we indulge
ourselves in have a great impact on shaping our lives. It's the domino effect
that helps us flourish. The domino effect, which works as an interconnection of
things, is a key reason why decisions in one area of life can have unexpected
consequences in another, regardless of your plans. As an example, if I continue
to go to the library or read a book, I automatically find myself more focused,
productive, and curious to gain knowledge about current events, history, or
many other topics, even though I never had a strategy to intentionally enhance
either behaviour. Likewise, when you keep trying and discovering new ways, it
will direct you to a much greater path without you knowing that little
successes are much greater celebrations. We affirm the things we want, but
oftentimes it’s the hard work that we've done all along.
My parents always taught me numerous things that stick with me, but one of
them is that everything is "figure-out-able." Oftentimes, we do not
understand the way out of anything, so we can always make a new one. The
majority of the individuals you see and interact with have only one or two ways
to do certain things and have accepted that there is only one path to resolve,
which is easy to accept and follow. We limit ourselves with the fact that there
is only one way, no matter how many people tell us there are 100, but the
limitation is what breaks us. It is essential to open your mind and look
around; there are a million ways certain things can be resolved. So, if you are
failing at one, there are a million others you can try and explore. If you read
or flip through the pages of any book or scripture, you will find this only
thing: one should never get attached to the outcome but rather indulge yourself
in the process of it. You don’t know what you might find, and even if you fail
at it, you will learn other things and how to work the other way around.
This post on failure is what today's generation needs to read because of the prevailing high competition in almost every sphere of life.
