UNREQUITED AFFECTION 2

So, It wasn't the end as I thought it would be,
And One beautiful day that stranger asked you for help,
To look at those unresolved questions about the subject,
But little did we knew that the person wasn't sharing just about subject,
But about them,
And that day you realized that people have different languages to show what they feel and what they wanna talk about,
But One fine day when you decided to pour your heart,
And suddenly you gut feeling started to keep you shut,
because you heard the words that shouldn't be heard,
Unaware of the fact that we are humans,
We expect,
And at last expectation leads you to disappointments,
But somewhere I assure myself way back that the person is only a lesson that has to be learnt for good,
That we won't repeat mistakes,
Mistakes are the biggest lesson, and time is the greatest healer,
We all aware of these cliches but it's true,
And we move on with time and we hold to the memories we think we made,
But somewhere we know a part of our heart will always belong to that place,
At the end we choose ourselves over everyone,
But Loving yourself is the most privilege act,
Because it will disconnect you from many including those you think are worth,
So, again my life is back to the cycle
Where I will be myself with my loved ones, people who appreciate my presence more than I think,
Back to the box of books and comfort,
Yet at the end of the day you sat on your window and grab the book again,
Make a cup of coffee and read those chapters again,
And now you didn't put that person in place of protagonist but you,
You see yourself as a protagonist because you have seen people and you have experienced better,
And now you understand the saying we all have seen and came through "Don't let social media fool you because no one is posting their failure we have to deal with that alone and learn lessons,
And you looked out of the window and let all those thoughts sink in,
And remembered the best is yet to come.
